Firstly, if you're looking at this page it means you're probably going through a really difficult time. I'm so sorry - saying goodbye to a loved one is one of the hardest things we can do.

In amongst the waves of raw emotions, you may also be worrying about the hundred and one things you need to do... including planning a funeral service .

Organising the final goodbye is difficult but so, so important. It needs to do your loved one justice, bring people together and celebrate everything your loved one brought to this world. You only get the chance to do this once and you will want to do them proud.

As someone who writes for a living and who's spent hours writing poems and family eulogies over the years, I understand how important it is to get every word right. Each and every farewell should be personal and unique, and every word, song or reading should be full of heart and meaning.

I will work alongside you to create a bespoke ceremony, designed to celebrate everything your loved one brought to this world.

We can talk about arrangements for the funeral service itself and I will be on hand to support you with suggestions for readings and music if you need it.

With a funeral celebrant-led service, you can include whatever you like in your ceremony - and it can be held anywhere. We can weave in elements of religion if this is important to you, or if your loved one's 'church' was their beloved football team or The Beatles, we can work our magic to create a ceremony that celebrates their life and love at every opportunity.

how does it work?

If you tell your Funeral Director that you'd like me to be your funeral celebrant, they will get in touch and book me on your behalf.

If you're not arranging a service through a Funeral Director, or want to arrange a ceremony to scatter ashes or a living funeral, please get in touch directly.

Then, I'll arrange a time to come and see you. We can do this in person, over a cuppa, or online - whatever suits you best. I will use this time to learn all about your loved one's personality; what made them tick, their sense of humour and hear your tales and memories of your times together.

We can also talk about the funeral service and the various elements you might like to include. We will stay in close contact while I get the information I need and write up a ceremony.

I will share the script with you in advance of the ceremony so you have chance to edit and approve every word.

On the day itself, I will arrive early to ensure everything is in place for the ceremony to run smoothly. I will then professionally and wholeheartedly deliver every element of the service we have crafted together to give your loved one a memorable final farewell.
